Your ramp

Defaults are a common starting example, not a universal rule. Provider limits and your domain reputation decide what is safe; adjust the fields to match your plan.

How many mailboxes do I need?

5 mailboxes needed (200 per day at 40 each).

How it works

  1. Enter how many mailboxes you are warming up and how many emails each starts with.
  2. Set how much the daily volume increases and the per-mailbox target you are ramping to.
  3. Add a start date to turn the ramp into calendar dates, optionally skipping weekends.
  4. Read the day-by-day schedule, then use the second calculator to size mailboxes for a target volume.

Why plan the ramp

A mailbox or domain with no sending history looks untrusted to providers, and jumping straight to high volume is a common way to damage reputation. A gradual ramp, spread across several mailboxes, keeps daily volume predictable while the sending history builds. The exact numbers differ by provider and by your domain, so this tool does the arithmetic on the plan you choose rather than prescribing one.

Ramp up only after authentication is in place: check SPF, DKIM, and DMARC with the authentication checker, verify your recipients with the email verifier, then keep bounce and complaint rates in range with the benchmark calculator.

Frequently asked questions

Are these the official sending limits for Gmail or Outlook?

No. The schedule is arithmetic from the numbers you enter. Providers set their own limits and weigh domain reputation, authentication, and recipient engagement, so use your provider's guidance and your own history to choose the ramp.

How long should an email warmup take?

It depends on the provider, the age of the domain, and how clean your list is. The calculator does not prescribe a duration; set the start volume, daily increase, and target to match the plan you want, and it builds the schedule.

Why spread volume across several mailboxes?

Smaller amounts from each mailbox keep any single sender under scrutiny while the total volume still grows. The capacity calculator shows how many mailboxes a target volume needs at a comfortable per-mailbox rate.

Does warming up fix a bad sender reputation?

No. Warmup builds history, but authentication, list quality, and complaint rates matter more. Fix SPF, DKIM, and DMARC first, verify addresses, and keep bounces and complaints low while volume grows.
